FIELD: product labelling.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to a system and method for in-mould labelling of products. A system for in-mould application of multiple labels to a product, which contains first and second mould parts moving to provide a closed and open position, wherein in the closed position the inner part of the mould constitutes the outer shape of the product, and in the open position the surface of the product to which the label is applied. A mechanism for continuously moving, feeding and placing the workpiece in the centre of the mould cavity. A magazine unit consisting of a first label magazine for labels of the first mould part and a second label magazine for labels of the second mould part. Moreover, the first and second label magazines are connected by a common base and contain a plurality of label clamping mechanisms protruding from them, each of which holds a label rim at the end. Moreover, the length and direction of each label clamping mechanism ensures the relative position of the front labels of all corresponding rims inside the label magazine according to the relative position of these labels inside the mould part. A robotic arm for picking up labels from a magazine and placing them inside mould parts, which includes a label grabber with multiple channels, each of which moves back and forth along the axis of the label magazine to the mould part. Moreover, the total width of movement of all channels is less than the width of the mould opening. Picking devices mounted at the end of each channel, with a plurality of gripping surfaces equipped and configured to grip one label by each of a plurality of label rims in a label magazine such that the relative position of the labels remains unchanged. A blow moulding machine for blowing out a container from a blank. The system is configured to apply a plurality of labels inside the mould to the product, the body of which has a polygonal cross-section. Moreover, the axis of movement of the channels is selected so that the channels and labels are located at a distance from the workpiece on the assembly line, as well as inside the mould.
EFFECT: reduction in cycle time and an increase in process productivity.
