FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: box is placed in the label application area. The label carrier is made with the possibility of vertical movement relative to the label application area to place the central portion of the label on the top side of the box. The two pressure elements disposed at two mutually opposite sides of the label application area are arranged to move downward relative to the label application area and relative to the label carrier for folding and applying the label end portions to the sides of the box.
EFFECT: pressure is removed from the first and second sides of the box.
