SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for enhancing printed products, to a device for providing such a method and to a printed product manufactured in such a way. In this case, according to the method, the substrate (2) on one side (20) is partially coated with varnish (4) so that on the side (20) at least one varnished (4) area (22) and at least one non-varnished (4) area (21) is formed, and then the film (6) is applied to the side (20) and bonded to the substrate (2), wherein the film (6) is made so that it adheres to the material of the substrate (2), but not with varnish (4), so that gluing of the film (6) to the substrate (2) is carried out selectively with at least one area (21) not coated with varnish (4), the substrate (2) is made of paper, cardboard or a label; the film (6) is glued to the side (20) using glue (63), which attaches to the backing material (2), but not to the varnish (4); the film (6) after gluing is separated at the dividing line (23) between the coated and uncoated areas (21, 22), thereby forming a substrate (2) having at least one varnished (4) area (22) and an adjacent, non-varnished (4) area (21), while in this non-varnished (4) area (21) the film (6) is glued to the substrate (2), while the edge (60) of the film (6) is adjacent to the varnished one (4) section (22).
