SUBSTANCE: methods for protecting pine plantations from the weaver sawfly Acantholyda posticalis. A method for protecting pine stands from the star sawfly Acantholyda posticalis includes aerosol treatment of adult star sawfly weavers in the crowns of trees during their summer with pesticides Locustin KS or Clonrin EC with a consumption rate of 0.1 l/ha with an aerosol generator with adjustable dispersion of the “GARD” type.
EFFECT: proposed method for protecting pine stands allows the use of pesticides with a low consumption rate, covering the entire crown of trees and depositing the pesticide on the surface of the needles, provides effective protection of trees and their crowns, preventing damage to the needles by sawfly weaver larvae and high mortality of sawfly weaver imagoes.
