NEEDLE INSERTION DEVICE FOR ELECTROPORATION OF PRODUCT INTO THE EYE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61F9/00

Abstract RU 2808659 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: options for electroporation devices for introducing a product into the ciliary muscle include the following: a support having a support base defining a spherical support contact surface extending along the virtual sphere and a circular edge extending in the plane of the edge; first and second needles configured to be movable on a support between withdrawal and insertion positions, in which the first and second needles are external and maximally inserted into the said virtual sphere, respectively, through the first and second intermediate piercing positions, in which, respectively, the first and second needles extend along the first and second insertion axes, and their ends are located at the first and second insertion points, belonging respectively to the first and second hemispheres of the virtual sphere, separated by the median radial plane of the edge, the angle between the median radial plane and any insertion axis is from 70 to 110°.

EFFECT: use of the claimed group of inventions will make it possible to limit or even eliminate any rotation of the eye while needles are inserted into it; engage one operator to perform the intervention; position electrodes accurately and stably; accurately guide the invasive electrode as it penetrates the eye; accurately inject into the eye relative to the limbus; create an effective uniform large electric field.
