SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for liquefying natural gas, mainly in small-scale production plants. The method of liquefying natural gas includes supplying natural gas through a supply line to a source gas compressor, compressing the gas to form a direct flow, pre-cooling the direct flow and throttling it, feeding the direct flow into a separator with subsequent separation into liquid and vapour fractions, feeding the liquid fraction into a cryogenic storage tank. A reverse gas flow is formed from the steam fraction, passing through the return line as a cooler for the direct flow through the annular space of the third, second, fourth and first counter flow heat exchangers and supplied to the purified gas compressor, where the reverse flow is compressed and after additional cooling, bypassing the purification unit and drying unit, mixed with direct flow gas.
EFFECT: increase in the liquefaction coefficient of natural gas while increasing its purity, saving resources while reducing the volume of drying and purification operations, and improving the environmental performance of the process.
