FIELD: thermoplastic composite materials; testing technologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to laboratory devices for testing technologies for creating promising thermoplastic composites and can be used to study the processes of preparation and processing of thermoplastic composite materials. The device contains a two-rotor mixer with cams, an extruder with replaceable worms and a forming head, all of which form a single structure. The mixer has a pneumatic mechanism for loading initial components with a shutter in the upper part of the body and a mechanism for unloading the finished mixture into the extruder in the lower part. In this case, the device is equipped with a pressure regulator in the pneumatic drive of the loading mechanism, the surface of the gate facing the rotors and the rotor cams are profiled in such a way that when rotating, the rotor cams slide along the surface of the gate, the inner surface of the mixer and the cavities of the cams with a given gap, involving the processed material in these gaps; in addition, the electromechanical drive of the device is reversible. The device also contains a control system that provides the necessary rotation speeds of the rotors and worm during periodic or continuous operation, maintaining and indexing the set temperatures of the mixer, extruder and forming head, monitoring the pressure in the pneumatic cylinder of the loading device and recording the power consumed by the electromechanical drive. The device allows you to mix components in hard conditions, when the pressure of the mixture is directed to the bottom of the mixer and can be measured, and in soft conditions, when the pressure is directed to the valve and can be set and measured using a pressure regulator.
EFFECT: expansion of the functionality of the device by creating additional controlled conditions of force on the processed initial components of the composition and mixture.
