FIELD: protection of steel products.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods for protecting steel products and can be used in the gas transportation industry to increase the service life of gas pipelines. The method of dehydration of steel products includes simultaneous thermal and additional energy effects. Thermal impact is produced by high-frequency induction heating of steel products, and additional energy impact is produced by applying an alternating magnetic field with an amplitude of 0.4-0.8 kilooersted.
EFFECT: extending the service life of steel products exposed to electrochemical protection in a corrosive environment.
