METHOD OF ASSESSING FINE MOTOR SKILLS OF HANDS BASED ON SYNERGY ANALYSIS USING COMPUTER VISION Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61B5/103 G06N3/02 G06T3/00

Abstract RU 2809430 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer technologies for assessing fine motor skills of the hands. The following is proposed: a method in which the test is performed including displaying on the display of a computer terminal a given sequence of hand gestures that define the synergies being tested. The computer terminal, using computer vision, records the correctness of the construction of gestures and the time of execution of the synergy. Testing is carried out using gestures of both hands. The total time for passing the test and the slope of the straight line approximating the successive time intervals spent on performing synergies are calculated. The ratio of time spent by the left and right hands is calculated. Next, the individual complexity of each synergy is assessed based on the time it takes to build it. The conclusion is made based on the results of comparing the obtained numerical values with standard indicators.

EFFECT: invention provides the ability to assess fine motor skills in an accessible way without any complex technical devices, using only a standard personal computer with a video camera.
