FIELD: measuring instruments.

SUBSTANCE: method for determining linear resolution of optical-electronic systems of aircraft. The essence of the invention is as follows. When performing aerial photography, measurements are taken on the ground of the brightness of white and dark strokes of a previously fixed target and the real contrast of the line target is calculated. Then, after processing at least 20 images of the line pattern by at least three deciphering operators, the value of linear resolution on the ground of the optical-electronic system is determined for an a priori given contrast of the line pattern, taking into account the maximum value of the linear resolution obtained during flight tests. A distinctive feature of the claimed method is that it takes into account the actual contrast of the line target.

EFFECT: improved accuracy of estimating linear resolution on the ground of optical-electronic systems of aircraft.
