FIELD: measuring instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: method is proposed for determining the crystallization temperature of a sample of water-salt solutions using a thermoelectric icing sensor containing a thermoelectric module, a temperature sensor and a thermoelectric heat flow sensor, which includes increasing the temperature of the sample to a value obviously higher than the crystallization temperature of the sample, cooling the sample to a temperature below the crystallization temperature, recording the maximum temperature corresponding to a jump in the sample temperature when the heat flux jumps, and determining the crystallization temperature of the sample using a calibration coefficient. A method for determining the mass (volume) of a sample of a water-salt solution is also proposed, which includes determining the crystallization temperature of the sample, determining the mass of the crystallized aqueous fraction of the sample and, based on the data obtained, determining the actual mass of the sample.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurements of crystallization temperature and mass (volume) of a sample of a water-salt solution, carried out with unlimited frequency.
