FIELD: meteorology; actions on clouds and precipitation. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes determination before flight of vertical and horizontal sizes of super-cooled clouds, their velocity and direction of motion by means of radio-sounding data and data of active and passive radar meteorological sounding; according to these data, radio brightness temperature and extent of super-cooled zones of clouds and their average water content in radial direction are determined. Novelty of proposed method consists in estimation of probable zone of icing by measured magnitude of average water content in radial direction and experimental dependence and introduction of ice-forming reagent in these zones.
