FIELD: high-molecular compounds.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes the composition of a copolymer of propylene and ethylene, a method for its preparation and products from it. The propylene-ethylene copolymer has the following characteristics: propylene is used as the primary monomer, and the proportion of ethylene (ET) is from 3.0 to 4.2 wt.%. In this case, the melt flow rate ranges from 20 to 45 g/10 min; xylene soluble fraction (XS) – from 2.0 to 7.0 wt.% and the XS/ET ratio is less than or equal to 1.51. In addition, this copolymer was obtained without the use of metallocenes.
EFFECT: products made from the copolymer can maintain high turbidity levels for a long time even after thermal aging.
