FIELD: military equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for protecting the roof of a turret and the stern of a tank. The protection device is installed on a bracket at the rear of the tank turret. The device includes a base; an electric motor is installed on the base, which is connected to the on-board electrical network of the tank. A support with a shaft is installed on the base; a support disk of a slot-like structure and a load-bearing disk are installed on the shaft. Steel cables and springs are attached to the supporting disk. To protect the carrier disk and the electric motor against the effects of shock waves, a cone-shaped casing made of armour plate is installed.
EFFECT: improved protection against damage from ammunition attacking from above.
