SUBSTANCE: methods for regulating buoyancy using water ballast. To test the emergency ascent of an underwater technical device, the tanks are purged. In the submerged position, the quick dive tank is filled to obtain negative buoyancy of the underwater vessel, after which an emergency ascent manoeuver is carried out - the main ballast tanks are purged, the speed of the underwater vessel is increased, and the horizontal rudders are shifted to an angleα for ascent. After that, the ascent parameters of the underwater technical equipment are assessed.

EFFECT: possibility of checking operability of the emergency ascent method during testing while maintaining safety of testing.
