FIELD: underwater shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: method for surfacing an underwater vehicle. To surface a submersible in broken ice, which contains ballast tanks and vertical movement conduits, the ballast tanks are blown out. When the submersible approaches the surface, the vertical displacement water conduits are turned on and water is supplied through them upward above the body of the submersible.
EFFECT: increase in the operational reliability of the underwater vehicle in winter conditions is achieved by protecting the hull structures from broken ice during surfacing.
