SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods of biological wastewater treatment and allows to perform biological post-treatment of food production wastewater through the use of microalgae and exposure to an electric field. The method is implemented mixing wastewater with a suspension of microalgae Chlorella kessleri “ВКПМ AI-11” at a ratio of 3:7, the mixture is illuminated with an intensity of 700 lux, aerated with air with an intensity of 2.5 l/min and heated to a constant temperature of 26± 1°C, then the cleaning process is intensified by exposure to a weak electric field at a current density of I = 0.03 A/cm2 and voltage U = 4 V. Current treatment is carried out for 2 hours every day.

EFFECT: reduction of the concentration of pollutants in wastewater.
