SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and represents a new planktonic strain of unicellular green algae Chlorella vulgaris, intended for biomass production. Planktonic strain of unicellular green algae Chlorella vulgaris KD BCF is deposited in CCAP under number 211/144.
EFFECT: strain is intended for production of biomass, meets the requirements of industrial cultivation and can be used for a wide range of applications: as a food product, for making a beverage, as a raw material for production of pharmaceutical preparations and biologically active additives, as a fodder for farm animals, as an algolysant in biological rehabilitation of water bodies and in waste water treatment.
