FIELD: medicine; oncology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to treat metastases of stomach cancer to the bones. The patient is administered zoledronic acid intravenously, by drip at a dose of 4 mg. After 72 hours, catheterization of the cubital vein is carried out, the radiopharmaceutical Samarium 153 oxabifor is injected into the said vein at a dose of 37 MBq/1 m2 of the patient’s body surface area. Subsequently, the patient receives zoledronic acid 4 mg intravenously every 28 days for a year. Repeated courses of Samaria-153 administration are held once every 3 months throughout the year.
EFFECT: invention provides a reduction in the size of metastatic tumors in the bones, a decrease in pain, and an increase in the duration and quality of life of patients with gastric cancer with metastases in the bones.
