FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to methods of obtaining aluminium-based ligatures containing aluminides of nickel and rare-earth metals, intended for modification of deformable and cast aluminium alloys of Al-Cu and Al-Si systems, respectively. Method of obtaining ligature alloy based on aluminium for modifying aluminium alloys of system Al-Si and Al-Cu involves preparation of pre-dried powders of charge consisting of 40 wt. % of aluminium and 60 wt. % of granulated modifier, containing, wt. %: 33 Al, 3.1 Ca, 3.1 Fe, 15.5 Ce, 7.8 La, 4.8 Nd, 1.4 Pr, Ni is rest, arrangement of charge in crucible, heating in air to temperature of 900 °C, holding for 30 minutes, applying on flux obtained melt flux and after 15 minutes of degassing, holding for 20 minutes to obtain a homogeneous melt and pouring into cooled moulds with simultaneous crystallisation of aluminides REM and Ni.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving modifying ability and modifier action time, as well as on reducing costs when producing a ligature with high content of ultrafine strengthening phases.
