FIELD: medicine; traumatology; orthopedics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for preoperative planning of reconstructive plastic interventions for contractures of the elbow joint caused by ossification. The method includes performing a computed tomography scan of the affected joint and a healthy contralateral joint. The resulting images are combined using a graphic editor, the zones of ossification and their boundaries are determined. Depending on the location of the ossifications to be resected, the optimal access for each individual patient is selected before surgery.
EFFECT: method provides a reduction in the duration of the operation and anesthesia time, a reduction in the volume of intraoperative blood loss and the incidence of complications by providing a cost-saving surgical technique due to the choice of the optimal volume of ossifications resection.
