SUBSTANCE: transport device for moving rod-shaped products (2) contains: a first conveyor (3), configured to move rod-shaped products (2) in the form of a multilayer flow (F) in the first direction (F3) of movement; a second conveyor (4) configured to move rod-shaped products (2) in the form of a multilayer flow (F) in a second movement direction (F4) opposite to the first movement direction (F3); wherein the first conveyor (3) is located at least partially above the second conveyor (4); a movement channel (5) for moving rod-shaped products (2) from the first conveyor (3) to a second conveyor (4) in a third movement direction (F5), wherein the movement channel (5) is formed by a first wall (8) located at the end of the first conveyor (3), and a second wall (9) located at a distance from the first wall (8) equal to the width of the multilayer flow (F) of rod-shaped products (2), while the second wall (9) is located above the second conveyor (4); wherein at least the first conveyor (3) and the movement channel (5) move in the movement direction (P) of the first conveyor, corresponding to the first movement direction (F3) or the second movement direction (F4). The first wall (8) forms the cover of the first conveyor (3); and the first wall (8) is shaped such that between the first wall (8) and the second wall (9) there is a variable distance (d1, d2, d3) in the transverse direction, which is transverse to the third direction (F5) of movement of the rod-shaped products (2) in the movement channel (5).
EFFECT: risk of damage to rod-shaped products is reduced.
