The technical result is achieved by a method for producing a filter element with multiple filter layers differing in fiber diameter, in which a melt of polymer material is obtained in an extruder, the molten polymer material is squeezed out in the form of jets through holes in the extrusion head, fibers are formed by exposing the melt jets in the direction of the mandrel to an air flow, fibers are laid layer by layer on a rotating mandrel of the winding device and the diameter of the fibers is changed. In this case, simultaneously with the rotational movement of the mandrel, a reciprocating movement of the winding device is performed, and the diameter of the fibers is changed by changing the intensity of the air supply and/or the rate of supply of the polymer in the extrusion head.
EFFECT: increasing the dirt holding capacity of the filter element.
