FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: following is performed: a dosed lengthening of the Müller muscle and levator muscle of the upper eyelid, while the complex of mobilized levator muscles is dissected perpendicular to the tarsal plate upward, lateral and medial to the projection of the cornea. Then the Müller muscle-levator aponeurosis complex is cut off from the upper edge of the tarsal plate, after which the cut off muscles contract within the limits of their detachment from the conjunctiva. The dosage of the required recession of the levator muscles is performed depending on the distance between the perpendicular cuts and their height. In a particular case, for recession of the levator muscles of the upper eyelid by 1 mm, perpendicular incisions are made at a distance of 10 mm between the medial and lateral incisions, and their height is 5 mm, while detachment of the levator muscle complex from the palpebral conjunctiva with a spatula is also performed by 5 mm. In a particular case, for recession of the levator muscles of the upper eyelid by 2 mm, perpendicular incisions are made at a distance of 10 mm between the medial and lateral incisions, and their height is 10 mm, while detachment of the levator muscle complex from the palpebral conjunctiva with a spatula is also performed at 10 mm. In a particular case, for recession of the levator muscles of the upper eyelid by 3 mm, perpendicular incisions are made at a distance of 12 mm between the medial and lateral incisions, and their height is 10 mm, while detachment of the levator muscle complex from the palpebral conjunctiva with a spatula is also performed at 10 mm. In a particular case, for recession of the levator muscles of the upper eyelid by 4 mm, perpendicular incisions are made at a distance of 12 mm between the medial and lateral incisions, and their height is 12 mm, while detachment of the levator muscle complex from the palpebral conjunctiva with a spatula is also performed at 12 mm.
EFFECT: invention eliminates retraction of the upper eyelid using one's own tissues, providing a dosed effect depending on the severity of the retraction.
