FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Mucoperiostal flap of a hard palate is sampled, a conjunctiva, lower eyelid retractors are dissected, and the flap is fixed to the edges of a lower eyelid bed. Hard palate flap is excised together with the periosteum. When sampling the flap, the lateral incisions from the mucosa to the periosteum are made at an obtuse angle towards the outer borders of the flap. Position of lower eyelid is normalized by means of its traction. In this position, the flap width is determined taking into account its reduction in the postoperative period. Thickness of the flap is modelled taking into account the size of eversion and retraction of the lower eyelid in different parts. Flap is fixed additionally to the lower leg of the external canthus. Hard palate flap is separated mainly with the help of a raspatory. Incision is made with a monopolar electrode with a curved tip in cut/coag mode. Hard palate flap is separated mainly under video endoscopic control. Dissection of conjunctiva, retractors of lower eyelid, fixation of flap to edges of bed of lower eyelid is carried out using a surgical microscope.

EFFECT: method enables improving the frame properties of the mucoperiostal flap, obtaining a satisfactory cosmetic result when correcting the position of the lower eyelid in lagophthalmos.
