METHOD FOR DEVELOPING CUTTING AREAS AFFECTED BY GROUND FIRES TO ENSURE NATURAL REGENERATION OF PINE TREES Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A01G23/00

SUBSTANCE: used when performing logging operations with subsequent natural forest reproduction. The method includes preparing loading points at the border of the block and skidding trails. Main roads are prepared, laid along the diagonals of the cutting area. Within the block, logging lines are laid diagonally to form four identical sections, and at the point of their intersection in the center of the block, a single loading point is set up for everyone. Moreover, the development of a cutting area during the main logging operations on it is carried out with the leaving of surviving trees on the plots as seed trees. After four years of sowing, seed trees are removed from the snow cover, and forest protection fire-prevention mineralized strips are laid along the boundaries of the plots and the entire block.

EFFECT: method ensures the procurement of assortments using manipulator-type machines in forest areas affected by ground fires, ensuring the safety of seed material and the natural regeneration of pine.
