FIELD: fasteners.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to joining tubular parts and rods in the production of metal frames. The connecting unit comprises at least one connecting element, at least two enclosing elements made concave and comprising mating edges, and at least two holes for fastening the enclosing elements, as well as a load-bearing element. The enclosing elements are attached to at least one connecting element. The supporting element comprises at least two mounting holes. The holes for fastening the enclosing elements and the load-bearing element are located above and below the connecting element and are made coaxial, configured for forming during assembly at least a double axial connection of the enclosing and load-bearing elements using fasteners. The internal size of the enclosing elements is made no less than the internal size of the load-bearing element configured for complete fixation of the mating edges.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of the connection of metal frame elements.
