FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: acoustic sensor and method for its manufacture are intended for qualitative measurement of the speed of passage of elastic waves in the samples under study. The acoustic sensor contains a waveguide and at least one piezoelectric element. The waveguide has at least one hole for supplying fluid into the sample under study. The waveguide is made of titanium alloy containing at least 85 wt.% titanium, and is made in such a way that it eliminates the focusing of acoustic waves and low-frequency vibrations of high amplitude in piezoelements. The waveguide is also connected to at least one piezoelectric element of the sensor by soldering. The method for manufacturing an acoustic sensor consists of the following steps. The sensor waveguide is made from a titanium alloy containing at least 85 wt.% titanium, in such a way that it eliminates the focusing of acoustic waves and low-frequency vibrations of high amplitude in the piezoelements. Next, at least one hole is made in the waveguide to supply fluid into the test sample. Then the waveguide is attached to at least one piezoelectric element of the sensor by soldering.
EFFECT: ensuring the reliability of long-term use of the acoustic sensor, including under extreme operating conditions, for example, reservoir thermobaric conditions.
