FIELD: nuclear reactor primary circuit tightness control at nuclear power stations. SUBSTANCE: transducer has waveguide 1 and support. Part of support is cylinder mounting annular piezoid 3. Transverse dimensions of support in each section and internal diameter of piezoid 3 are chosen to be larger than maximum dimensions in respective section of acoustic field 5 formed by volume ultrasonic waves radiated by part 6 under check and incident onto end surface of cylindrical part 2 of support. Part of the latter between its cylindrical part 2 and waveguide 1 is contracting towards waveguides and forms truncated cone 4. Cone angle $$$ is chosen from condition $$$, where $$$ is maximum angle of acoustic field divergence in support formed by volume ultrasonic waves radiated by part under check as they get onto end surface of cylindrical part of support. Reyleigh waves are discriminated among all ultrasonic modes by transducer. EFFECT: reduced distortion of transducer amplitude-frequency response. 3 cl, 1 dwg
