FIELD: video processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technologies, devices and systems for video processing. The result is achieved in that the video processing method includes determining the cross-component linear model (CCLM) prediction mode parameters based on chroma samples that are selected based on the available W top adjacent samples, where W is an integer, for conversion between the current video block of the video, which is a chrominance block, and the encoded representation of the video; and performing a conversion based on the determination.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of video processing.
