SUBSTANCE: used for local heat treatment of welded joints of large, thick-walled products. The method of local heat treatment of welded joints of large-sized products includes heating the welded joint zone, holding at a given temperature and cooling. The welded joint zone is heated on both sides, first to a temperature of 300°C at a speed of no more than 60°S/h, then to a temperature in the range of 620-660°C at a speed of no more than 30°S/h, while holding is carried out at this temperature for 8-8.5 hours for final tempering, cooling is carried out to a temperature of 300°C at a speed of no more than 30°S/h, and subsequent cooling takes place under a layer of thermal insulation to a temperature below 50°C.
EFFECT: ensuring an increase in the strength and plastic properties of welded joints of products and eliminating significant temperature deformations during heat treatment of large, thick-walled products.
