FIELD: quantum frequency standards.
SUBSTANCE: quantum frequency standard has been proposed, containing a series-connected optically electrodeless spectral lamp, a gas cell placed in a resonator, a thermostat and a magnetic screen, which also contains a bias coil, a photodetector connected optically to the lamp and the cell; photocurrent amplifier, electronic control circuit, and crystal controlled oscillator of the standard output signal. The standard additionally contains condenser lenses, a polarizer, a quarter-wave plate and an additional AC field excitation coil, while the DC bias coil is placed obliquely to the optical axis, and the generator is controlled according to the signal of the quantum frequency discriminator, and the magnetic field of the bias coil is adjusted according to the frequency discriminator signal and the phase of the Larmor precession caused by the excitation coil.
EFFECT: creating a reliable and durable quantum frequency standard that eliminates the use of a laser, as well as reducing the size, weight and power consumption when using a lamp and cell with natural caesium.
