FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method for determining the parameters of turning transitions for cutting the external and the internal cylindrical surfaces of parts includes processing the workpiece and measuring its profile, with registration before processing in cross sections of the dimensions and deviations of the profile of the machined surfaces of the workpiece, and the actual parameters of the cutting process. The treated surface is measured from the same measuring bases as the workpiece. A step-shaped workpiece is used for the outer and inner surfaces to be machined, the adjustment size is recorded, and the outer and inner surfaces of a given set of workpieces are processed by cutting with a single movement of the tool. After processing, the minimum and maximum diametrical dimensions in two mutually perpendicular longitudinal planes and the roughness on the machined areas of the cylindrical surface of the stepped allowance are measured, followed by calculation of the coefficients. After that, for the found values of the coefficients, the parameters of processing transitions are selected - depth of cut, feed and cutting speed, with subsequent calculation of the values of deviations of the setting size, deviations of the cross section and the roughness parameter.
EFFECT: values of the process parameters for processing by cutting external, internal and end surfaces are obtained, providing a specified margin of accuracy in terms of the magnitude of deviations from the setting size, deviations of the cross-sectional profile and roughness.
