After removing the worn tire 1 from the axle, which has exhausted the declared service life along the rolling diameter d and the width of the tire h, a tire is manufactured from tire 1 to smaller dimensions, determined depending on: D1=D·K1, h1=h·K2, d1=d K3, where D is the bore diameter of tire 1, mm, D1 is the ground bore diameter of tire, mm, h is the width of tire, mm, h1 is the width of the reground tire, mm, d is the rolling diameter of the tire, mm, d1 is the reground diameter of the bandage, mm. Unbanding the roll, which includes heating the band to a temperature of 250-380°C, removing it from the axis, subsequent assembly of the band with the axis of another stand, after which the caliber is bored to the designated roll profile.
EFFECT: increasing the service life of composite mill rolls with an increase in the service life of worn tires by regrinding them with a reduction in overall dimensions and installing them along the production chain in another stand, with the appropriate format and required dimensions of the mill.
