FIELD: chemical technology.

SUBSTANCE: method and system for regeneration of spent hydrochloric acid in a fluidized bed. The method provides for the flow of spent hydrochloric acid into a Venturi pre-concentrator to obtain concentrated spent hydrochloric acid, the flow of concentrated spent hydrochloric acid into a fluidized bed reactor for reaction with the formation of iron oxide and high-temperature flue gas, and a decrease in the temperature of the high-temperature flue gas after rough dust removal to 420 - 550°C, flue gas enters the Venturi pre-concentrator after reducing the temperature of the high-temperature flue gas to exchange heat with spent hydrochloric acid to produce concentrated spent hydrochloric acid. HCl is regenerated at the flue gas outlet from the Venturi pre-concentrator to obtain regenerated acid. The density of concentrated spent hydrochloric acid is kept within the range of 1.48-1.485 g/cm3.

EFFECT: addition of fresh or rinse water to the Venturi pre-concentrator when producing concentrated spent acid is eliminated, thereby reducing the energy required to regenerate spent hydrochloric acid.
