FIELD: mobile navigation.
SUBSTANCE: method for determining the location of a user indoors using inertial measurement devices of a mobile computing device (MCD) in real time. The proposed method contains the following steps: a digital map of the premises is loaded onto the MCD, indicating the located radio emitters on the floors, which contain the floor identifier; determine the presence of signals from radio emitters inside the building using the user’s MCD; measure the power of RSSI signals; receive vectors of acceleration, rotation of the user's MCD and orientation of the magnetic field from inertial measurement devices; process the received vectors of acceleration, rotation and orientation of the magnetic field, signal power; receive updated coordinates of the device location (x, y), floor identifier, and the angle of rotation of the device in space relative to the vertical axis; display the user's location on a digital map in the MCD interface.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of determining the user's location indoors.
