FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to calculation of mobile devices location. Said technical result is achieved by using observed beacon data associated with a request to select a calculation method based on available data for a public place and capabilities of the device. If sufficient data of public place is available on the basis of earlier verified positions of radio beacons, calculation of position may allow information of floors and public place. If insufficiently previously observed data is available for a public place, the position is calculated using two-dimensional data based on GPS observations. After selecting the calculation model, the calculation position is returned in response to the position request.
EFFECT: technical result is high location accuracy.
