SUBSTANCE: techniques for processing light-screen signals, for example, during laser sensing of the atmosphere. A method for receiving light-screen signals by converting received light pulses into electrical signals and increasing the gain f(t) of the received signals in the process of receiving light pulses according to a power function, function f(t)=ktm, where m=1, 2, 3, 4… , are formed using a differentiating link, to the input of which at the moment the reception begins, a step signal is supplied, and the time constant of the differentiating link increases linearly from the moment the reception begins. The differentiating link can be made in the form of a differentiating RC chain, the input of which is supplied with a step voltage, and the output signal is the voltage drop across the R resistance, and the R value is linearly increased relative to the moment the signals are sent according to the dependence R=kt, where k=1/mC.
EFFECT: ensuring high accuracy of the differential gain control dependence of the form f(t)=xtm with m=1, 2, 3, 4... .
