FIELD: microorganisms cultivating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of cultivating microorganisms. A method of producing biomass involves cultivating a microorganism selected from methanotrophs in a medium composition, adding a nutrient medium composition having a pH of less than 3 to the culture medium, and collecting the biomass. The composition of the nutrient medium with pH of less than 3 contains a microelement selected from the group consisting of MgSO4.7H2O, CaCl2.2H2O and their combinations; trace element selected from the group consisting of FeNa-EDTA, NaMoO4.2H2O, FeSO4.7H2O, ZnSO4.7H2O, H3BO3, CoCl2.6H2O, Na2-EDTA dihydrate, MnCl2.4H2O, NiCl2.6H2O, CuSO4.5H2O and combinations thereof; HNO3 or ammonia as a nitrogen source; H2SO4/KHSO4 as a sulfate source and H3PO4/KH2PO4 as a phosphate source.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the productivity of biomass.
