SUBSTANCE: invention relates to Russian folk stringed musical instruments from the zither or lyre family, which is a resonator body with 5 to 20 strings stretched over it, and usually forming a diatonic scale. The technical result is achieved by the fact that gusli with a hollow body with a lower soundboard and an upper soundboard equipped with resonator holes and differently tuned strings, stretched between a tailpiece and pegs with rotary pins to change the tuning of the strings, is equipped with metal frets, the body has a round shape, and the tailpiece and metal saddles are made in the form of closed rings of various diameters, the height of the metal frets decreases with decreasing diameters, and the tailpiece is installed in the centre of the upper soundboard or offset to the edge of the body, the pegs are placed along the edge of the round body, and the metal frets are installed between the tailpiece and the edge of the body with increasing diameter from the tailpiece to the edge of the body.

EFFECT: expanding the possibility of modulating the sounds of notes and derivative steps of notes.
