SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of treating steatohepatosis in experimental animals. A model of steatohepatosis is created in rats by introducing palm oil into the diet at a dosage of 30 g/kg/day for 6 weeks. Against the background of a model of steatohepatosis, Laennec is administered intramuscularly for 6 weeks at a dose of 0.6 ml/kg body weight per day.
EFFECT: invention provides a hepatoprotective effect, reducing the severity and prevalence of steatohepatosis.
