FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: broadband direction finder is proposed, containing a plate, a generator connected through a switch, with a transceiver linearly polarized antenna, and its polarization plane is oriented so that the vector of the antenna's electric field lies in the direction finding plane, coinciding with the plane of incidence of the incident wave from the target to a plate, a receiving linearly polarized antenna with a polarization plane coinciding with the transmitting antenna, mounted motionless at an angle relative to the normal to the plate, located on a platform rotating in the direction finding plane, with a drive and a rotation angle sensor, and a phase shift meter between signals from the antenna output, connected to a target position angle calculator, the plate being made of metal.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of direction finding, expanded frequency range, improved noise immunity of the direction finder.
