FIELD: air flow control systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an air flow control system that can be installed in an electrical cabinet, such as a cabinet with electrical equipment. Invention is aimed at providing the ability to extend ventilation operation for an electrical cabinet in the event of fan failure without operator intervention. It is achieved in that the air flow control system (2) is designed to be installed in an electrical cabinet designed to accommodate electrical devices (13), and contains: a housing (22) with at least one air input (IN1, IN2) intended to be placed in communication with the internal volume (V1) of the electrical cabinet, at least two air outputs (OUT1, OUT2), and at least one main opening (21) with the possibility to connect the air input (IN1, IN2) with two air outputs (OUT1, OUT2). The system also contains a switching device (3) located inside the main opening (21), between the first air output (OUT1) and the second air output (OUT2). The switching device comprises at least one movable damper (30, 31) which can be adjusted between a first position in which the air inlet communicates exclusively with the first air outlet, and a second position in which the air inlet communicates with at least the second air outlet. The main opening (21) contains one channel for transferring air flow connecting the air input (IN1, IN2) with the first air output (OUT1) and with the second air output (OUT2), with at least one movable damper (30, 31) is installed in the channel for transferring the air flow in such a way as to rotate freely around an axis in one direction from the first position to the second position solely under the pressure of the air flow (F2) flowing in the channel for transferring the air flow, due to the design of the dampers as spring-loaded.
EFFECT: providing the ability to extend ventilation operation for an electrical cabinet in the event of fan failure without operator intervention.
