SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for regulating plant growth. A method of enhancing the effect of plant growth regulation includes treating plants with at least prohexadione and ethephon, in which a water-based spray liquid is sprayed onto the plants, wherein the liquid contains water, and the amount of prohexadione is between 20 g/ha and 200 g/ha, the amount of ethephon is between 100 g/ha and 400 g/ha. Plants are seeds of rapeseed, flax or cereal crops. The grain crop may be barley, oats, wheat, rye, triticale, cereals or corn.
EFFECT: proposed method of enhancing the effect of regulating plant growth exhibits a synergistic effect on reducing the length of the stem and reduces the risk of lodging, and also provides an increase in yield.
