SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heated ship handrails and railings for limiting and ensuring the safety of the movement of crew and passengers on board a ship. A ship's heated handrail is a hollow pipe mounted on racks installed on the ship's deck. A heat-insulating tube of the K-flex type is mounted inside the handrail, the outer diameter of which corresponds to the inner diameter of the handrail, and the length corresponds to the length of the handrail, on the upper and lower sides of which a self-regulating heating cable is symmetrically laid, fixed on the surface of the insulating tube using a self-adhesive fastening tape in a spiral manner throughout its length. The heating cable is twice the length of the handrail, with a bend on the side facing the end of the handrail, closed with a screw cap. On the side facing the beginning of the handrail, one end of the heating cable is connected through a cable gland connected to the handrail using a threaded coupling to the power cable, and the other is terminated with an end seal, which is secured to the heat-insulating tube with self-adhesive fastening tape so that it does not protrude beyond limits of the insulating tube.

EFFECT: safety of actions and comfort of personnel when people move along the sides, as well as along ladders and gangways at low operating temperatures of the vessel.
