FIELD: electroplating.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in mechanical engineering, instrument making, aviation, electronics and other industries. A method for adjusting the current strength and the ratio of the anodic and cathodic components of the current in a capacitor microarc oxidation installation, consisting of a power source with two terminals, a galvanic cell - a bath with electrolyte, in which a current lead for the part being oxidized, is placed, which is the anode, and a cathode, a control unit, a rectifier diode, an n-type insulated gate field effect transistor, a comparator, a multivibrator, a personal computer and several current limiting modules, each of which consists of a capacitor, an internal comparator, a D-trigger and a triac switch, while the current is adjusted by switching the capacitors of the current limiting modules discretely in binary code at the moment the supply voltage passes through zero, and the ratio of the anode and cathode components of the current is adjusted by shunting the load using a transistor switching in pulse-width modulation mode.
EFFECT: expansion of control capabilities of a capacitor installation for micro-arc oxidation by implementing the ability to change the oxidation current directly during coating application without disconnecting the power source and flexible adjustment of the ratio of the anodic and cathode currents.
