FIELD: metal working.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for electrolytic processing of surfaces of products made of metals and alloys for the purpose of forming oxide-ceramic coatings. Apparatus comprises a power source, a current sensor, a voltage sensor, a current inverter, an electrolyte bath, a programmable controller unit. The characteristic feature of the apparatus consists in the fact that a reversible pulse current generator is connected between the power source and the current inverter. Said generator forms both anode and cathode current pulses and discharges the parasitic metal-oxide-electrolyte capacitor by recuperating the energy thereof into the power source. In a second variant of the apparatus, the full bridge of the current inverter is replaced with a half-bridge rack containing two transistors and two reverse diodes.

EFFECT: increase in the reproducibility and performance of the production process, increase on the unit power of the apparatus, expanded nomenclature of oxidised metals and alloys, including ones with high values of specific capacitance of the metal-oxide-electrolyte capacitor, e.g., titanium.
