FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coatings application electrochemical method and can be used in machine building and other industrial sectors. Device comprises power supply source, connected to it power control unit, connected to bath with electrolyte with immersed into it part and measuring unit, wherein power unit includes control element providing voltage control, anode and cathode cycles beginning and end time and duration. Control element is made with possibility to supply pulses with gaps between them with duration from 80 mcs to 5 ms during anode and cathode cycles with adjustable frequency and duration pulses, wherein control element is used providing for voltage control with pulse-width and/or amplitude-width modulation.
EFFECT: expansion of micro-arc oxidation technological capabilities, increasing coating adhesion to substrate, achieving high coating hardness with its controlled porosity.
