FIELD: organic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to new 2,4-diaryl-6-alkyl-1,3,5-triazines of general formula I, where R=NO2, Cl, CH3, OCH3. The invention also relates to a method of their preparation by cleavage of the corresponding 2,5-disubstituted-4-hydroxy-6H-1,3-oxazin-6-ones with benzamidine hydrochloride in the presence of an equimolar amount of sodium propoxide in boiling propanol for 2–4 hours with subsequent treatment of the reaction mass with a 10% sodium hydroxide solution and isolation of the target product from the suspension.
EFFECT: obtaining new compounds of general formula I, which can be used in medicine as antifungal (antimycotic) agents.
