FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to equipment for pressing food material (M) into food tablets (T). The press (1) contains a feeding system (2), containing a feeder (20) and a feeding pipe (21) for supplying material (M), and a pressing system (3), containing a rotary plate (30) of a mold with cavities (31) for sequentially receiving food material (M) supplied by the feed pipe (21) and producing food tablets (T) using puncheons (32) with rotational movement of the cavities (31) relative to the feed system (2). There is a registration sensor (4) for detecting the filling level (L) of food material (M) in the supply pipe (21) and a control unit (5). The unit (5) controls the feed rate of the feeder (20) to continuously supply food material (M) based on the detected fill level (L) to maintain it at a certain fill level set position (LSP).
EFFECT: food tablets can be produced more accurately in terms of their average weight.
